Tivat

This is an inexpensive resort. It is suitable for those who are used to outdoor activities, because all excursions in Montenegro start from here. The resort is well located - very close to the airport, where tourists arrive in 90% of cases. This means that there is no need to waste time and money on additional moving.

The city is clean and green, there are two large parks and a marina. There are few beaches in the city itself, but they are all clean and well-groomed, albeit small in size. There are free sites. Covering - small pebbles and pebbles with sand, in some places there are concrete platforms. There is a good sandy beach 3 km from the city - a rarity for Montenegro. Finally, the most popular beach is located on the Island of Flowers, almost 5 km from Tivat. The island is large, green and perfect for seniors and young children. Budva

Most tourists think that Budva is the best place to relax in Montenegro. It is the country's most famous resort and main hub for nightlife, with plenty of cafes and entertainment ranging from casinos to fitness clubs and sports grounds. However, Budva cannot be called exclusively youthful: there is a zoo, a water park with attractions, and a beautiful historical center. Most people come to Budva on a package tour - there are many good resort hotels. See how much all inclusive tours cost in Montenegro.

Ancient Budva, whose history began around the 5th century BC. e., boasts preserved ancient fortresses, monasteries, churches: fortress walls and gates, fortresses of Citdela and Mogren, churches of St. Ivan, St. Anton, Virgin Mary and Holy Trinity. The city is also good for its narrow cobbled streets, tiled roofs and pretty houses. You can get to the resort from Tivat by bus. Find out what to see in Budva.

In Budva, all the beaches are small pebbles, and the sea is protected from cold currents. The noisiest and most crowded beach is Slavyansky. There are many entertainments, playgrounds and attractions. A 20-minute walk from it there is a quiet Mogren beach with a flat bottom and shallow depth - it is better to relax there with children. The beach of Richard's Glava is also popular. Find out what reviews tourists leave about Budva.

Snorkeling lovers should go to the island of St. Nicholas. The entrance to the island is free, but you have to pay for the rent of a sun lounger and an umbrella. A few kilometers from Budva, there is a small resort village Becici with a two-kilometer pebble beach.

Rest in Budva is interesting for any category of tourists, but prices in the city are high, so budget tourists are better off resting in another resort in Montenegro - Herceg Novi.

Herceg Novi

The famous health resort of Montenegro, which received the unofficial status of the greenest city in the country. At one time, exotic plants from all over the world were brought to Herceg Novi, so you will not surprise anyone with palm trees and cacti. The city is quiet and calm, it has beautiful narrow streets, which are pleasant to stroll along at any time of the day.

Despite the patriarchy and silence, it is not recommended for the elderly and parents with wheelchairs to Herceg Novi: the city is located on the hills, all passages with difficult descents and ascents, there are many stairs. But with older children it will be nice: the Bay of Kotor is warm, the water is always calm, there are many walking places and the beautiful Old Town. The only negative is that all the beaches in the city are concrete, and some tourists get by boat to the nearest beach.

Saint Stephen

Sveti Stefan is an elite resort in Montenegro, a famous island hotel connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. The resort is beautiful: inside you will find cozy narrow streets, surrounded by flowers and greenery, and lovely fishing houses. And although only guests of Aman Resorts can get to the island, everyone can admire the architecture of the city-hotel and the amazing natural isthmus of the island, as well as sunbathe on the pink sand beach. The beach on the left side is free of charge, on the right it belongs to the hotel.

Settle in a village on the mainland overlooking Sveti Stefan and relax on the beach. The village itself is located on a mountain, and you will have to go down to the beach by steps, which is very inconvenient for older people and vacationers with small children. Find out more about St. Stephen.

Ulcinj

This is the most atypical city in Montenegro. It was once part of the Ottoman Empire and was a well-known center of the slave trade on the Adriatic. The resort borders on Albania, and it is not very convenient to get by public transport from Tivat or Budva. Because of this, there are still few vacationers in Ulcinj, despite the attractive prices and oriental flavor that dominates here.

The main advantage of Ulcinj is its sandy beaches. On the territory of the longest of them - the Great - there are several kitesurfing clubs, and on the territory of the Small Beach there is a diving center. At the end of the Great Beach, it is almost 25 km from Ulcinj, there is the island of Ada-Boyana. According to tourists, this is one of the best vacation spots in Montenegro. A nature reserve with sandy beaches, some of which are reserved for nudists.

Milocer

This resort village with medieval architecture is primarily notable for the fact that the royal family of Karadjordjevic used to live here - a beautiful palace, a park and a botanical garden with rare plants have been preserved. Above Milocer, on a hill, there is also a 17th century Praskvitsa monastery.

The area is beautiful, the beaches are excellent, the water is clean. If you are a guest of the Milocer Hotel, then you can relax on the King's beach for free. Outsiders are not allowed there. There is also the Queen's Beach - in the low season you can relax there for free, and in summer admission is paid - the price goes up to 120 euros!

Zabljak

This is the most famous ski resort in Montenegro, located in a national park in the Durmitor mountains. The landscape and climate are similar to the Swiss Alps, and vacation prices are 1.5-2 times lower.

Skiing is possible from December to the end of March, the most equipped resorts are Stutz, Savin Kuk and Yavorovacha. A year-round ski run is located in Debeli Namet. Cycling, rafting, mountaineering and jeep rallies are popular in Zabljak in summer.
