Prices in resorts are lower than in neighboring Turkey. In the high season, 2-3-bed apartments with a kitchen cost $ 16-18 per day, and in the low season - less than $ 10. Where is the best place to rest
The Black Sea coast of Georgia stretches for 308 km. The choice of a seaside resort in Georgia depends on what kind of vacation you are looking for. The most promoted and largest in size is Batumi. Young people and parents with children like to relax in a modern seaside town. Batumi has an excellent beach infrastructure, a large selection of hotels and entertainment, sea water is not as clean as in small seaside villages. Batumi
Handsome Batumi is light and playful like young wine! Tourists from different countries stroll along the embankment of Georgia's main resort - Russian couples, Ukrainians, Belarusians, residents of Kazakhstan, Turkey, Iran and the United Arab Emirates. We even met Thais and Hindus! Adjarians, Gurians, Mengrels, Turks and expats from the CIS countries live in this international city. Many speak Russian fluently.

Batumi beaches are wide, with large pebbles, so it is better to swim in special shoes. The entrance to the water is shallow, and the depth begins a few meters from the shore. The main disadvantage of the resort is the nearby Chorokha estuary. During rains, a large river carries a lot of debris and silt into the sea, so the water is not very clean. Batumi residents and tourists love to swim in Sarpi and on the "Green Cape" beach, which is located in the northern suburb of Batumi - Makhinjauri.
Sarpi
The southernmost resort in Georgia by the sea is located near the border with Turkey. Sarpi is a small village near the border crossing, which has shops, a pharmacy and even a small ethnographic museum. Residents of Batumi like to relax by the sea here. Gonio
From the south of Batumi, behind the wide valley of the Chorokhi River, there is a large coastal village of Gonio. It is famous for the Gonio-Apsara fortress, which has guarded these lands since ancient times. Residential high-rise buildings stand between the ancient fort and the sea, and chocolate cows calmly walk along the new embankment and palm trees. The beach at Gonio is long and wide. The coast is covered with medium and small pebbles. The depth starts almost immediately. Kvariati
Between Gonio and Sarpi lies a small picturesque village, which is popular with everyone who wants to relax by the sea in Georgia. Chakvi
We fell in love with the tea capital of Georgia at first sight! Chakvi is a large Adjarian village on the banks of the river of the same name, 13 km from Batumi. It is home to about 10 thousand people, there are shops, a market and pharmacies. Tourists stay in the private sector, rent apartments and cottages. Chakvi is a place where it is better to relax in Georgia by the sea for lovers of silence. The resort has a spacious beach, and there is plenty of room for everyone on the long pebbled coastline. Tsikhisdziri
Despite its tiny size, Tsikhisdziri is considered one of the best vacation spots in Georgia by the sea. It's all about the fashionable Castello Mare 5 * complex, which stands on a green rocky promontory. The Georgians with whom we were traveling in the minibus spoke of this resort hotel as a real wonder of the world.It is not surprising, because in a small seaside village a modern hotel has been built for tourists with luxurious presidential rooms, a swimming pool overlooking the sea, a tennis court and a spa center. Kobuleti
The resort town on the Black Sea coast is very similar to the Baltics. We liked the wonderful promenade, clean pebble beaches, a seaside park and rows of tall pine trees. During the Soviet years, Kobuleti was considered the main health resort in Georgia and an excellent seaside resort. Now the palm belongs to Batumi.

Kobuleti stretches along the sea for 7 km. It is a narrow and long city with three parallel streets. In the southern part there is a market, a stadium and a museum, and in the northern part there is a little-known pearl of Georgia - the picturesque reserve "Swamps of Spain". By the river
The resort, where it is better to relax with children in Georgia, is located 55 km north of Batumi. There are no entertainments and attractions in Ureki. People go to the seaside village for the Magnititi beach with unique black sand, the healing properties of which are legendary.

Shekvetili
Closer to Kobuleti there is a resort village, where there is also a beach with therapeutic magnetic sand. Compared to the "dacha" Ureki, Shekvetili looks stylish! When we saw the pretty resort houses between the pine trees, we immediately remembered Palanga and Nida.
There is a large amusement park and the Georgia in Miniature park near the resort. Within walking distance there is a pleasant place for walking - the Music Park and the modern Black Sea Arena concert hall, where Georgian and world stars perform.

Poti
We were surprised that Poti is not advertised too much as a seaside resort in Georgia, so we decided to go there to see everything with our own eyes. Poti is a pleasant port city! We were impressed by the beautiful cathedral, interesting museums, a bustling market, a green park with a sculpture by Alexandre Dumas and the lovely atmosphere of the Georgian province. It is convenient to live in Poti, but there is nowhere to swim in the city itself. There are simply no beaches to find - only a rocky coast. Local residents travel by car and minibuses from Poti to neighboring seaside villages. IN Mkltave wide shore with fine gray sand, almost no trees. In Grigoleti, pine trees grow on the shore, and the beach is narrower. The villages are not cleaned as carefully as in the best resorts in Georgia, so there is a lot of garbage near the water, which is carried out by the sea.
You can come to Grigoleti and Mkltava for a day, rent a room or a cottage. Don't count on special infrastructure!
When is the best time to go
Warm weather on the coast is established in mid-April. In the spring only walruses swim, but it is pleasant to relax by the sea in Georgia. When there are still no crowds of tourists, we like to walk along the coast, drink strong brewed coffee and enjoy Georgian cuisine. Blooming azaleas and roses look bright against the background of snow caps of the high Adjarian mountains.
At the end of May, you can sunbathe on the beaches. Swimming is comfortable from June, when the sea water temperature rises to +20 ... + 22 ° С. The peak tourist season is in July and August.
I assure you, you should not be afraid of the summer heat during your vacation in Georgia at sea! Fresh winds always blow near the coast, so it is not as hot here as in Tbilisi. The velvet season in Georgian resorts is comfortable. It is still warm in September and October. Sea water cools down slowly, you can swim until the end of October - early November.
