Sochi is the most pleasant resort for walking. Green, blooming, with many parks, squares and gardens. We invite you to walk around Sochi with us. We will show you the most beautiful places!
In this photo review, I will not give a route in the literal sense of the word - "don't go there, go here, but at 14:30 go to lunch at a specific restaurant." I will share the places where you can take a walk in Sochi and see something along the way, and you yourself can choose the most interesting for yourself. For each place I will give a short description, advice and share my impression.
Marine terminal and port
Perhaps the most pleasant place for walking in Sochi after the arboretum! Marina in the city is always beautiful. The blue of the sea, the whiteness of yachts, their reflections in the water, and the slender spire of the seaport rises against the background.
Walk around the station and notice the light galleries of the central façade, allegorical sculptures of the seasons and cardinal points on the tower, and an elegant rotunda. Take a look inside the station - there is a beautiful clock in the waiting room decorated with stucco molding. And next to the building there are three squares for walking at once.
If you are going to take a walk in Sochi in the evening, come to the seaport. I advise you to come closer to sunset and take a boat trip, or just take a walk, admiring the last rays of the sun, and take beautiful photographs in mode light.
By the way, the only thing that annoys me is annoying invitations to boat trips.
Park "Riviera"
Riviera Park is more suitable for those who want to take a walk in Sochi with children. There are many attractions and activities for children: dolphinarium, oceanarium, wax museum, playground, Ferris wheel. Admission is free, but you have to pay for the rides.
However, not only children will be interested. In the park, it is pleasant to walk along beautiful alleys with palm trees, Japanese maple and other exotic plants. There is a rose garden, sculptures, fountains and the dominant feature of the park - the restored dacha of Khludov. To the left of the entrance, outside the park, there is a memorial complex "Feat for Life".
Riviera beach
After the park, take a look at the Riviera beach - probably the most comfortable and beautiful in Sochi, almost European. Its promenade reminded me of Barceloneta Beach in Barcelona. It connects with the embankment of the Sochi River, along which tourists also stroll.
Pedestrian Navaginskaya street
Navaginskaya Street is a great place to walk in Sochi. Here's how to decorate the southern pedestrian streets so that you would like to walk along them, and not run away from there, dropping your slippers!
The street is striking with lush greenery - it seems that here you can see half of the arboretum. Palm trees, cypresses, agaves, yucca, pampas grass, oleanders, thuja and many more plants and flowers unknown to me. Among the greenery, benches, sculptures, cafes, restaurants and shops are discreetly located. There is even a light and music fountain.
For all its tourist orientation, the appearance of Navaginskaya Street does not have vulgarity and outright bargaining, as in the Cypress Alley in Sudak, which plunges into tourist hell. This is a place for leisurely walks and gatherings in a cafe. And it is also convenient to walk along it to the sea, because it will take you from the railway station directly to the seaport.
