We have been living in Thailand for more than 8 years, but we return to Pattaya again and again, and each time we discover a new one. We have collected the best attractions of the resort, which you can see on your own: zoos, an aquarium, unusual museums, bright shows and unusual places where there are no tourists.

Why Pattaya is considered the number 1 city in Thailand for tourists? Here life is in full swing. There are so many attractions and attractions that anyone can find interesting places for themselves. Find out what to see in Pattaya on your own!

Transvestite Show

Price: 600-1200 baht depending on location.

How to get there: there is a 10 baht songteo before any of the three shows. You can take a taxi and watch the famous Pattaya shows on your own, but it is more profitable to come with a guided tour. A show with a transfer from the hotel and back will cost 500-600 baht.

There are several cabaret shows with singers (or singers?) In luxurious shiny clothes in Pattaya. Alcazar and Tiffany on Second Street have been entertaining guests for over two decades, and the Colosseum on Teprazit opened a few years ago. Some are delighted and advise you to definitely look at this Pattaya attraction. Others complain about too loud music and ridiculous "singing" to the veneer.

Khao Kheow Zoo

Price: adults - 250 baht, children - 100 baht. Golf cart rental - 500 baht for 2 hours.

How to get there: The zoo is 45 km from Pattaya. Public transport does not go there, so tourists travel to Khao Kheow from Pattaya on their own. Take a taxi for a full day with a trip throughout the territory for 1600-1800 rubles or buy a tour for 600-700 baht per person.

The open zoo is popular with children and adults. You will feed giraffes, flamingos, tapirs and binturongs, see hippos and a huge white lion resting in the river. Animals are kept in large enclosures. Many of them roam freely on the grass. Go to Monkey Island, Roe Deer Glade, Orangutan Mountain, and Valley of the Cats!

Several shows are shown in Khao Kheo. We advise you to visit the "Jungle Book" - a unique show where animals perform tricks without human participation.

Tiger zoo

Price: adults - 450 baht, children 1-1.4 m tall - 250 baht.

How to get there: You can visit the zoo on your own - from Pattaya, you first need to go on a white songteo along Sukhumvit to Sriracha (30 baht), and then by tuk-tuk or taxi (200 baht). But it is more convenient to take a tour for 550-600 baht or order a transfer from the hotel with entrance tickets - 650 baht for adults and 550 baht for children.

Although the zoo in the town of Sriracha is called the tiger zoo, other animals are also kept there. Shows of big cats, elephants, crocodiles and funny pig races are shown several times a day. Find out what to see in Srirach.

Oceanarium

Price: adults - 500 baht, children - 300 baht.

How to get there: on a white songteo towards Rayong - 30 baht or on foot along Sukhumvit from Tepprazit street.

In our opinion, you shouldn't buy a tour to Underwater World Pattaya - you can go on your own. You don't need a guide to admire the underwater world.

Touch fish in the sensory pool and feed sea turtles and carps. The 100-meter transparent tunnel leaves a great impression. Sharks and rays slowly float overhead as you watch those who live underwater!

Naklua (Naklua) - fish market, old houses and herons

Price: is free.

How to get there: blue songteos walk along Second Street and from the Dolphins Fountain. Ask "Naklua fish market" and for 10 baht you will be taken directly to your destination.

This is an important attraction of Pattaya, which we recommend to see on your own! In the north of Pattaya, the long Naklua Street ends in the authentic Banglamung district, home to a large Chinese community. We fell in love with it at first sight and came to admire the century-old wooden houses many times. The name says about what the locals were doing before. Naklua means "fields of salt" in Thai.

The local fish market is considered the cheapest in Pattaya. Buy fresh seafood for a quick grill at a nearby restaurant. Explore the small Lan Pho Park In the evenings, Thais come here with families to dine on the grass.

Egrets hunt 700 m to the north, near the mouth of the Naklua River, and chicks hatch in the mangroves nearby from November to April. Watch how a noisy colony of different species of herons, storks and cormorants gets along. Banglamung has a lot to see - the magnificent Sawangboribul Foundation temple of the Chinese community, shrines, an old Chinese cemetery and wonderful fish restaurants. An amazingly calm world, so unlike the bustling Pattaya!

Palace of the Chicken King Sukhawadee

Price: for adults - 500 baht, for children 1-1.3 m tall - 300 baht.

How to get there: any minibus on Sukhumvit towards Bangkok - 20-40 baht. Tour with hotel pick-up costs 700 baht.

The new palace in the north of Pattaya is a must see for lovers of kitsch and selfies against the backdrop of bright buildings. Expensive, rich and the feeling that you are visiting a millionaire! Wealthy Thai Panya Choititawan arranged this attraction especially for tourists. Pay 300 baht for a cabaret show and dinner.

We didn't like the palace itself, but the places that can be seen around it - little-known free attractions in Pattaya. To the south of the territory, under the gigantic trees, a large sculpture of Buddha rises. Along the sea at low tide, you can see how local families collect seafood from the bottom of the sea, and from the north of the palace begins the wonderful seaside promenade Krathing Lai. A palm-lined path leads 1.5 km to Bella Villa Cabana.

Hello Van Gogh Art Museum

Price: 500 baht for an adult and 400 baht for children between 0.9 and 1.2 m tall.

How to get there: take any minibus that goes along Sukhumvit towards Bangkok. From North Street the fare is 20 baht.

Is it really possible to look at paintings by Van Gogh and Claude Monet in Pattaya? Yes, but not for originals, but interactive installations. Several years ago, a modern impressionist gallery was opened on the northern outskirts of the resort.

The famous canvases are shown in seven halls on large screens. With quiet classical music, images move and change. Aromatic coffee in a stylish cafe helps to comprehend where the art ends and the show begins.

Golden Buddha on Mount Khao Chi Chan

Price: is free.

How to get there: public transport does not go to this Pattaya attraction. Take a taxi - 400-500 baht one way or buy a tour - from 600 baht.

There is a place 20 km from the south of the resort, a photograph of which can be found in any travel guide to Pattaya - a golden Buddha on a rock. The gigantic image, 130 m high, is lined with large plates of gold. Beneath it there is a well-kept park, a temple and meditation pavilions.

Sharing a secret! If you have not yet had time to ride elephants, you can do it next to the mountain. The walk costs 300 baht. To feed an elephant, buy a bunch of bananas for 50 baht.

Street of artists

Price: is free.

How to get there: on a blue songteo that runs along Second Street and Beach Road - 10 baht.

Thais are great aesthetes, so there are many art workshops in Pattaya. They are engaged in the design of hotels, restaurants and paint pictures to order. A colorful alley north of Mike Shopping Mall is entirely dedicated to Pattaya artists. This is a place that is interesting to see lovers of art and original tattoos. Thais will be happy to paint your portrait or sell tropical watercolors.

Big Buddha Hill and Pratumnak Hill

Price: is free.

How to get there: blue songteo, which runs from the center to Jomtien - 10 baht. Exit before the Tappraya turn to Pratumnak after The Axix Condo.

When traveling, we always try to find an observation deck to see the city from above. Pattaya is lucky! There are two green hills in the center of the resort. From a height of 120 m, there is an excellent view of the city streets, new high-rises and the Pattaya Park tower. Tours are taken here, but we advise you to walk the hills on your own.

On the southern hill, there is a 15-meter-high sculpture of Buddha, to which a staircase with gentle steps leads. There are other Buddhist statues and shrines nearby, a wat, a garden with a pond and a Chinese temple. The place is quiet and pleasant, it's not for nothing that there are so many cats here! On the northern hill stands a monument to Admiral Aphakn Kyativng and offers an excellent view of the coast and the island of Koh Lan. Come to the hills to capture the Pattaya sunset!

Nong Nooch Garden

Price: entrance ticket - 500 baht. Excursion with transfer from the hotel - 600 baht.

How to get there: In principle, you can drive yourself to Nong Nooch - white songteos walk along Sukhumvit for 30 baht, but from the turn to the park it is as much as 5 km. It's hard to walk in the heat! It's easier to go with a guided tour or taxi. Be sure to bargain, because taxi drivers get money from every tourist they bring.

If you do not know what to see in Pattaya with children, choose Nong Nooch! In our opinion, this attraction has an amazing aftertaste. The large park hosts the best elephant show in Thailand. You will visit the orchid garden, see Mini Versailles, an exhibition of rare cars, replicas of Thai temples and even a semblance of British Stonehenge.

Cat cafe

Price: a cup of coffee and a cake - 150-200 baht.

How to get there: to C Cat Cafe can be reached by songteo along Central Street - 10 baht.

The fashion trend came from Japan and won the hearts of Thais. There are two cafes with cats and a café with dogs in Pattaya. We have been to C Cat Cafe on Welcome Town several times. A pleasant place - a balm on the heart of the cat lover! Clean, well-groomed and curious pets. Several cats immediately became interested in our backpacks and played with pleasure under the table.

Teddy Museum

Price: 500 baht for adults and 250 baht for children between 0.9 and 1.3 m tall.

How to get there: a blue songteo that runs along Beach Road - 10 baht.

The funny bear museum is located in the north of Beach Street. Attraction to see in Pattaya with children! Pleasant plush toys of all colors and sizes and a small gift shop await visitors. Nice place where great family photos are made!

Pattaya is a huge cauldron of desires! Whenever you arrive, the Thai resort will find something to surprise you!
